I’m thrilled to announce a new partnership here at Editor Unleashed. Jordan Rosenfeld, a top-notch author, teacher and writing mentor, is bringing her popular writing workshops to our forum.
I spent years working with Jordan at Writer’s Digest, when I was editor and she was a contributing writer. She’s talented, prolific, and passionate about the craft of writing. In fact, at one point I came to the realization that she was writing almost half of the magazine. She knows her stuff!
Jordan will be offering the following workshops:
• Learn Fiction’s Magic Ingredient
• Layering Scene Types
• Image Building
• Perfect Your Manuscript’s First Impression
• Method Writing
The workshops are all work at your own pace and reasonably priced. For details and to register go here.
Jordan’s students rave about her workshops. You can find some recommendations on the forum. She’ll also be joining in the forum conversations and posting creative writing prompts in the Juice Bar, which I’m excited about because she seems to have an endless supply of inspirational boosts to share.
Learn more about Jordan on her Make a Scene blog. And please join me in welcoming her to Editor Unleashed!

I am currently taking my second class from Jordan and I highly recommend the courses to anyone! She challenges us and encourages us to push beyond our normal writing limits, which has opened up so many possibilities in my writing. I’m so glad we’re now being hosted on Editor Unleashed!
Hi Jordan. I wish you the best of luck in this new collaboration with Editor Unleashed.

Alongside JoAnna, I am currently on my second class with Jordan. In fact, I am signed up for nearly six weeks of working with Jordan (I am enrolled in the ‘Layer Scenes’ and “Fiction’s Magic Ingredient) and have no doubt that I am going to emerge out the other end with a better grasp on the craft of writing.
After reading Jordan’s book ‘Make a Scene’ I knew there was a lot I could learn from her and was thrilled to find out she was running workshops. With the pressure of having to complete half of my novel for a master’s thesis and the realization that I needed to really grow in my writing craft, being enrolled in Jordan’s workshops have given me a sense of confidence that I will be able to meet the challenges ahead of me.
You are all fantastic. I’m so excited to be here I can’t even tell you!! I look forward to chatting with you and hopefully working with you in class.
Thanks to Maria!
Thanks for continuing to add so much great material to your blog. It’s exciting to watch it grow.
Thank you Jennie! I appreciate that. Frankly it’s Maria’s cue I’ve been following to learn how to be a better blogger :)
That’s a good move, Maria. Jordan’s classes will really extend the range of helpfulness you’ve already established.
Great news for the site, better news for the writers who flock here. From the word on the e-street, Jordan’s workshops are like a box of chocolates…doesn’t matter which one you pick, they’re all good!
Ah thanks you guys. We do have a lot of fun.
