“There have been great societies that did not use the wheel, but there have been no societies that did not tell stories.”-Ursula K. Le Guin
Voting for the Editor Unleashed/Smashwords Flash Fiction 40 Contest begins at 9 a.m. EST today!
Voting will take place from June 15-June 26 (midnight EST on June 26) on the Editor Unleashed forum. You must be a registered forum member to participate in story ranking (registration is free).

Here’s how to vote:
1. We’re using the star ranking system (examples: 1 = terrible, 5 = excellent) to rank stories.
2. To rank a story after you’ve read it, click on “Rate Thread” in the upper-right hand corner. Choose a ranking for that story (1-5)
3. You may read and vote on as many stories as you want. But please only vote on the stories you’ve read.
4. Only one vote per forum member per story.
5. No lobbying for votes on the forum, although you’re welcome to ask for votes elsewhere. In fact, here’s a badge to post on your blog if you like:

Good luck to all who entered and thanks for participating! You can find prizes and more info. on the Editor Unleashed/Smashwords Flash Fiction 40 Contest here.
Thanks to Kat Meyer of Next Chapter Communications and Mark Coker of Smashwords for co-sponsoring this contest!

Woot! Let the games begin! :)
Hmm. I wish I wasn’t weeks behind on my day job or I’d really dive in and see how many I could vote on in two hours. I expect most, though 280+ seems like a lot.
And they’re off!
Thanks for hosting this amazing contest, Maria! And thank also for the badge – collio mundo… Peace, Linda
Echoing a splash of “Grazie molto bene” to MARIA, KAT & MARK as well . . . your writing machine’s call has been swell . . . to oh so many it seems.
Wishin’ all the very best in all their themes.
