Writing Prompt: Your Election Haiku

by mariaschneider on November 3, 2008

Let’s bring some much needed brevity (and levity) to this Presidential election with some haiku.

A haiku is a spare poetic form consisting of 17 syllables.
There are three lines with 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second and 5 in the third.

Here’s mine:

One house, two parties
A cold fall, leaves falling down
Come Tuesday, it’s done!

You can post your haiku here in the comments section, or on the forum.

Okay, I’ll take a stab at it :)

Blame game, name calling
Can’t wait until it’s over,
Tuesday tells the tale.

Happy November to all! (By the way, I can’t believe it’s November already!)
